Lactalis USA, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring for a:

CDL Yard Driver based in Buffalo New York.

* Work schedule is part-time (2-3 days/week minimum) and subject to flex to full-time depending on business needs/seasonality.

Summary:

The role of the Yard Driver is responsible for facilitating the day-to-day activities of yard operations in order to provide a safe and effective way of transporting Lactalis products to and from our distribution centers.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Conduct movement of trailers in yard and to off-site storage local locations.

2. Maintain adherence to all safety programs

3. Support the truck maintenance schedule

4. Perform and log yard tasks using the yard management system and in-cab tablets

5. Support required yard audits to ensure that equipment is functioning properly and that product temperatures are maintained

6. Demonstrate commitment to a safe working environment that promotes the health and wellbeing of all employees and that will further contribute to the Company's overall performance and success.

7. Travel and/or extended or off work hours may be required.

Qualifications:

Key responsibilities for this position include:

* High school diploma or equivalent required

* Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience in transportation and/or commercial driving (previous yard experience preferred)

* CDL-A license required

* Clean MVR (driving record) and ability to complete pre-hire DOT drug screening & DOT physical
