Thermacell currently employs 125+ full time employees at our 3 locations:
Bedford Massachusetts (Corporate HQ), Buford Georgia (Manufacturing & Distribution), and Hampton Florida (Science & Research Center).
The Sourcing Manager is responsible for leading both strategic and tactical sourcing activities to ensure reliable, cost‑effective, and high‑quality supply of materials, products, and services. This role will drive supplier strategy and long‑term category initiatives (60–70% of the role) while also managing tactical purchasing and day‑to‑day procurement activities (30–40%). The Sourcing Manager partners closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and cross‑functional teams to achieve business objectives, optimize costs, reduce supply risk, and support company growth.

WORKING HOURS: Typically, between 9‑5pm M‑F (open to some flexibility)

Strategic Sourcing (60–70%)
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies that align with company objectives, balancing cost, quality, risk, sustainability, and innovation.
- Conduct market analysis, supplier research, and benchmarking to identify best‑in‑class supply solutions.
- Lead supplier selection, qualification, and negotiation of long‑term agreements.
- Manage key supplier relationships, performance, and development to drive continuous improvement.
- Implement and sustain a Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) program with strategic suppliers to strengthen partnerships and unlock mutual value.
- Train and coach internal boundary partners on how to apply SRM practices to drive innovation, reduce risk, and create competitive advantage.
- Leverage SRM to identify opportunities for joint cost reduction, quality improvement, and market differentiation.
- Partner with stakeholders across Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to align sourcing strategies with business needs.
- Support new product development and introductions through early supplier engagement and sourcing strategy input.
- Identify, negotiate, and implement cost‑saving initiatives while ensuring quality and supply continuity.
- Track and report savings against targets, providing clear visibility into realized and forecasted benefits.
- Develop financial assessments and total cost of ownership analyses to measure sourcing impact on cost of goods sold (COGS).
- Monitor and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical, regulatory, and financial exposures.
Tactical Sourcing & Purchasing (30–40%)
- Manage purchase order creation, release, and follow‑up to ensure timely delivery and accuracy.
