Geographic Information Systems and Construction Administration. Thomas & Hutton has an opening for a motivated and driven Environmental Designer to join our Water/Wastewater Department in Buford, GA.

Candidate should be able to create civil engineering drawings in Civil 3D, prepare specifications, cost estimates and Water

CAD modeling. Proficiency in water and sewer utility, drainage, and erosion control design required. Experience in design & permitting water and sewer related projects and client/contractor relationship experience a plus.

• Experience:
  
  2+ years of strong AutoCAD based design skills. Experience in the design of municipal water and sewer systems is preferred.
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. EIT Certification or ability to become EIT certified within 6 months required.
• Skills:
  
  AutoCAD, Water
  
  CAD and Civil 3D software applications; strong verbal and written communication; ability to work a regular on-site schedule; not remote or hybrid; highly client service oriented, self-starter, and team player; ability to multi-task, prioritize and solve problems; excellent time management.

• Design civil engineering drawings in Civil 3D; prepare specifications and cost estimates;

• Prepare water and sewer utility, drainage, and erosion control designs; assist with design and permitting of water and sewer projects.
