Advanced Emergency Medical Technician; AEMT

XZYON EMS is looking for Advanced EMTs (AEMT / EMT-A) to bring added assessment skill and experience to our non-emergency ambulance crews in Buford, Georgia. You’ll provide patient care and dependable transportation between hospitals, healthcare facilities, and home across Gwinnett County and the greater Metro Atlanta region, applying your advanced training within the basic life support (BLS) operations XZYON EMS provides today.

• Provide patient care at the BLS level XZYON EMS currently offers, applying your AEMT-level assessment skills and training within the Georgia AEMT scope of practice and XZYON EMS’s authorization
• Obtain and record a full set of vital signs, provide supplemental oxygen, and closely monitor patient condition throughout transport
• Safely load, secure, transport, and unload patients between hospitals, healthcare facilities, and home
• Communicate patient status and care needs clearly to your crew partner, receiving nurses, and facility staff
• Complete accurate patient care and transport documentation
• Perform vehicle and equipment checks so your unit is ready for service
• Work as part of a two-person crew and follow XZYON EMS policies and Georgia EMS regulations

• At least two years of relevant professional experience
• A current Georgia Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) license or certification
• A valid driver’s license
• Ability to perform the responsibilities of the role, as described above
