Co-op:
An 8-month long opportunity, Co-op positions are full‑time employment experience. Co-ops are fully immersed in the worlds of corporate and production industry as full‑time team member.
Internship: A semester long opportunity, Internships positions are a part‑time employment experience. With the opportunity to extend multiple semesters, Interns tap into the foundations of our corporate and production industries.
Co-op and Intern opportunities span across 18 of Bobcat’s different functions
Role & ResponsibilityPosition will provide primary support and back‑up for our Global Risk Management & Insurance function. Your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Implementing and maintaining appropriate risk management principles and policies, internal controls and processes designed to identify and mitigate risks
- Assist with risk analytics/modeling of program
- Review and leases, contracts and other legal agreements to evaluate appropriateness of insurance and indemnification related terms and conditions to assure compliance with company’s programs and risk management policies. Recommend modifications to insurance requirements and indemnification wording
- Research, evaluate and make recommendations regarding current and state‑of‑the‑art trends in risk management, safety, loss control and claims management strategies.
- Establishing and regularly updating a comprehensive risk management framework to identify, measure, monitor and control all aspects of risk
- Attend insurance related meetings with insurance brokers and insurance companies
- Assist in coordination of loss control activity, insurance claims management and claim litigation processes
- Coordination of 1st party claims against insurers or 3rd parties.
- Oversee coordinate Insurance Certificate activity to support customer requirements and desired coverage from vendors and other business
-partners - Review and reconcile claim payment activity and insurance related invoices to ensure transactions are properly recorded
- Assist in compilation of underwriting data for insurance renewals
- Consult with affiliate(s) (ie. DDIA) regarding their insurance programs and renewals
- College or University student seeking 4‑year undergraduate or graduate degree with major or focus on Insurance, Risk Management, Legal Studies, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent
- Ability to multi‑task and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking skills
- Team player, fast learner, and adaptable to change
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills is a must
- A self‑starter and will dig into problems independently and will look for limited guidance
