Overview
QUALITY ASSURANCE LAB TECHNICIAN at KRAIBURG TPE. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Lab Technician to join our team. In this role, you will ensure that all laboratory processes adhere to strict quality standards, regulatory requirements, and scientific protocols. The successful candidate will conduct TPE and its raw materials tests according to test standards; operate injection molding machines for TPE testing;
run testing device verification procedures; compare measurements with historical values; document and organize samples, equipment accessories, and tools; and collaborate with other internal teams.
- Operate lab testing equipment in accordance with SOP and specifications.
- Test and record results.
- Review product specifications and quality procedures through SAP and order sheets.
- Maintain lab equipment including injection molding machines, testing devices, equipment and tools.
- Mold plaques (2mm, 6mm, step chip, etc.).
- Perform raw material, online, and finished good testing such as density, hardness (Shore, Shore D, and VLRH), tensile and elongation, haze/color measurement, rheology (HPCV, MFR/MFI), moisture, compression set, spiral flow, electrical properties, and other TPE tests.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Comply with company policies and safety regulations.
- Report to management about product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, and/or personal injuries.
- Report to management about conditions that might affect quality or on-time delivery.
- Attend training classes provided by KRAIBURG TPE.
- Review QA activities to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Record all activities in SAP and QA reports accurately.
- Inform management and related departments about potential production issues.
- Able to prioritize test sequences and provide weekend support as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school graduate or higher.
- Experience in the plastic industry or manufacturing is preferred.
- Ability to work in a team and independently.
- Cooperate with fellow employees, especially within the production area.
- Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience working with processing and laboratory equipment.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
KTPE offers a comprehensive benefits package from day one. Pay range for this role is $20 to $22.65 per hour depending on experience.
