ROLE PURPOSE

Thermacell is currently seeking to grow our manufacturing business and is looking for a highly motivated 2nd Shift Manufacturing Lead. 2nd Shift Manufacturing Leads are responsible for performing an array of duties such as operating manufacturing equipment, assembling packaging, inspecting materials, and performing warehouse functions. This role will report to the 2nd Shift Production Supervisor.

STATUS: Non-Exempt

WORKING HOURS: 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm (extended hours as needed)

WORK LOCATION: 3157 Buford Highway Buford, GA 30518

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead & train 2nd shift team to ensure requirements are met for production, fulfillment and employee safety.
  • Will act as the go to and fill in when the supervisor is on PTO on the shift. Would include monitoring production v. goals & sending End of Day Production Recap email.
  • Operating equipment:
    Setting up and operating production lines, assembly machines, conveyors, and packaging machinery.
  • Perform manufacturing processes to aid in fulfillment of production timeline and goals.
  • Reporting:
    Completing productivity reports detailing the number of parts or products made during each shift
  • Adheres to all manufacturing standard operating procedures.
  • Performs Quality Control checks including inspecting and testing finished products for defects and quality assurance.
  • Develop and adherence to equipment centerline and running line standards.
  • Follow equipment and process troubleshooting methodologies:
    Why-Why, 5W+2H, etc. and making basic equipment repairs.
  • Ensure adherence to manufacturing key performance indicators
  • Production assembly operations
  • Utilize RF gun/scanning systems and interact with tracking systems
  • Ability to perform change overs and make process adjustments
  • Meets company productivity and quality standards
  • Loads and unloads trucks and drive forklift as needed
  • Pulls work orders as needed
  • Completes cycle counts
  • Picks and preps orders & shipments as needed
  • Supports the larger Operations annual goals/continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintains clean work area to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Adherence to established safety policies and procedures
  • Other duties may be assigned
