Qualifications
Bachelors, Associate of Arts degree or equivalent preferred with certifications are training and purchasing techniques. Three to five year’s relevant work experience. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of ERP systems, Word Processing software;
Spreadsheet software; and Internet software as well as the Microsoft office suite. This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
- Proven ability to plan, place, and retrieve purchase orders, thus recommending the most appropriate and cost effective products.
- Review, evaluate, and monitor the business’s purchasing requisitions.
- Research and resolve receiving and accounts payable issues.
- Create, maintain, and update files related to purchase orders and purchasing.
- Ability to demonstrate pro‑active behavior.
- Support supplier selection in metal fabrication, machining and electronic components.
- Address, communicate, and negotiate product, therefore providing products at a compelling price.
- Follow and maintain processes, plant purchasing procedures and informational tools.
- Closely monitor and communicate purchase price variations that will impact plant profitability.
- Load customer demand in compliance with Plant processes.
- Analyze production specifications in tandem with customer demand to determine required plant capacity, thus establishing the manufacturing needs of the business.
- Prepare production schedules for the various production lines.
- Create production plan, schedule, and determine required throughput.
- Monitor production throughput to determine capacity and efficiency metrics to monitor attainment of plan.
- Reschedule on as needed basis production and/or customer orders in alignment with production plan and attainment.
- Work within Intuitive ERP systems.
- Ensure the production schedules maximizes efficiency and productivity.
- Plan, place, and retrieve purchase orders.
- Review, evaluate, and monitor purchasing requisitions.
- Research and resolve receiving and accounts payable issues.
- Create, maintain, and update files related to purchase orders and purchasing.
- Exert pro‑active behavior.
- Recommend best supplier fit for particular case.
- Address, communicate, and negotiate product.
- Negotiate pricing.
