- Repairing, maintaining and installing equipment in compliance with all plant policies and procedures.
- Working with machinery and mechanical equipment, including motors, pneumatic and hydraulic components, conveyor systems and production line equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, machinery and control panels.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in motors, drives, PLCs, sensors and other industrial equipment.
- Install and upgrade electrical components and wiring in accordance with local codes and plant standards.
- Maximize equipment availability: maintain all company assets at the highest level of availability by executing the preventive maintenance schedule effectively and consistently.
- Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:
Identify and resolve root causes of equipment in a professional and timely manner to minimize downtime. - Operator Collaboration and Training:
Partner with machine operators to implement process improvements and provide training on routine preventive maintenance tasks. - Project Support:
Assist engineering initiatives and continuous improvement projects, including equipment trials, upgrades and installations. - Workplace Cleanliness:
Ensure a clean and organized maintenance department and maintain cleanliness at job sites upon completion of work. - Safety and Compliance:
Strictly adhere to all plant safety, environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Mechanical understanding to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
- Electrical skills focused on, but not limited to, Controls, PLC, VFD, Solenoids, Servos, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, gear boxes.
- Diagnostic tools:
Meger Meter, Multi-Meter, Amp Probe, Infrared Thermometer. - 5 years of recent top grade electrical or mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Must be proficient and experienced in various areas of maintenance, including basic PLC troubleshooting knowledge, fabricating or machining parts.
- Fabricating or machining parts for repairs.
- Able to utilize CMMS system to document periodic scheduled tasks.
- Must possess strong teamwork, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, as well as a high mechanical ability and troubleshooting skills.
