Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a CSM-Correctional Officer 1 based in Buford, GA. The Correctional Officer will be responsible for maintaining security, supervising inmates, and ensuring safety within a correctional facility. Key responsibilities include enforcing rules and regulations, conducting searches, performing security checks, and responding to incidents. Additionally, the officer will participate in training programs and assist with inmate rehabilitation while promoting order and compliance.
Qualifications- Knowledge of and/or experience in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement
- Proficiency in Physical Security protocols and the ability to maintain order
- Effective Supervisory Skills and experience in leadership roles
- Capable of conducting Training sessions related to safety, security, or rehabilitation
- Ability to work well under pressure and respond quickly to critical situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma or GED required; additional relevant certifications or coursework are advantageous
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment screening process, including background checks and physical assessments
