The SR. Fire Alarm Technician will install, program, and service fire alarm systems, serve as the point of contact for system service, manage installation projects and budgets, lead crews, and collaborate with customers on integrating related building systems.

- Electrical background and knowledge of electronic equipment.
- Low‑voltage expertise, including relays, loops, and I/O.
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems and test equipment.
- Diagnose and repair systems efficiently at customer locations.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- PC skills:
Microsoft Office, Command Prompt, and ability to learn manufacturer‑specific software. - Organizational skills and ability to read schematics, diagrams, and relay logic.
- Travel to project locations as needed.
- Preferred knowledge of Edwards Life Safety equipment.
- Experience reading blueprints and operational materials.
- Valid driver’s license.
- References, background check, drug screening.
- Diagnose and repair physical security systems at customer locations.
- Perform preventative maintenance per service contracts.
- Troubleshoot issues remotely using provided software.
- Travel to customer locations across Florida and Georgia.
- Work independently to research and resolve equipment issues.
- Complete special projects and assigned duties.
- Assist with additional technical support as needed.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Post‑secondary certificate preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience.
- NICET II certification or higher preferred.
- Exposed to various weather conditions.
- Use construction site sanitary facilities.
- Carry personal tools at all times.
- Work from ladders up to 90 feet.
- Operate in restricted or confined spaces.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment.
- Regular 40‑hour weeks plus overtime; night shifts, weekends, and travel may be required.
- Interpret construction drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Use power tools safely.
- Follow safety procedures from the Company Safety Handbook.
- Operate two‑handed tools (cable cutters, hammer drills, etc.).
- Read maps, instructions, and manuals.
- Good hearing and vision.
- Perform bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead.
- Lift up to 50 pounds; carry frequent loads up to 20 pounds.
- Endure prolonged standing and movement on foot.
- Climb ladders of all types.
- Repeat arm and hand movements for full‑day assignments.
