CGL Facility Management, LLC provides comprehensive contract facility maintenance services to commercial clients.

Overview

CGL Facility Management, LLC provides comprehensive contract facility maintenance services to commercial clients. The HVAC Technician will perform preventive and corrective HVAC maintenance work and minimal installations with our clients.

What You Will Do
  • Perform preventive and some corrective maintenance services to existing HVAC equipment according to work orders generated from a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Complete all documentation of work performed in compliance with the CMMS data collection process.
  • Install, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, engines, pumps, belts, fans, air handling units, Variable Air Volume (VAV) and fan powered boxes.
  • Maintain the safe operation of systems including electronic/pneumatic environmental controls, oil/gas fired water tube boilers, and auxiliary equipment such as pumps, de‑aerating tanks, air compressor blowers, etc.
  • Examine environmental control and stationary systems to diagnose problems using proper inspection, testing, and monitoring techniques while exhibiting safe and proper use of tools.
  • Become familiar with the design and layout of the facilities; learn the locations of installed environmental control and monitoring systems/equipment; and understand operating procedures relating to environmental controls.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures and according to the standards of CGL Facility Management, LLC, OSHA, and our clients.
  • Inspect completed work for conformance with local building and safety codes.
  • Escort subcontractors during completion of their work at the site.
  • Perform other preventive and corrective maintenance tasks as directed by CGL Facility Management.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace while and after performing maintenance tasks.
  • Complete all required compliance, safety and developmental training as assigned.
  • Assist in training other technicians in basic trade skills and provide mentorship, oversight, and direction.
  • Drive for the Company using either a Company vehicle or a personal/rental vehicle for more than 50% of the time.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • 1–3 years of commercial or residential HVAC maintenance experience.
  • Good working knowledge of HVAC‑related equipment and at least one of the following trades/skills: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to read blueprints and as‑built drawings.
  • Willingness and ability to work occasional on‑call shifts.
  • Microsoft Office skills (required).
  • Certifications may be required.
  • Self‑motivated, team player who can multitask, prioritize, and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Valid driver’s license (DL) in the state of employment.
  • EPA Certification (required).
  • HVAC Certification (preferred).
