Working Hours:
Mondays to Thursdays: 6:45 am to 4:00 pm, inclusive of a 45-minute lunch break
Fridays: 6:45 am to 3:30 pm, inclusive of a 45-minute lunch break
Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays, gazetted public holidays and school holidays
Candidate may be required to work on selected school-holiday days when requested by the school
We are seeking an experienced and responsible Student Discipline Support Officer to support the school’s operational, disciplinary and student-management functions.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Discipline Team to manage student behaviour, support at-risk students and maintain a safe and orderly school environment using a restorative-practice approach.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Discipline Team in managing student discipline.
Conduct house visits with school personnel and make follow-up calls to parents.
Manage students undergoing in-house detention and handle cases involving missing students, emotional meltdowns and other incidents.
Patrol the school premises to ensure student orderliness.
Perform routine traffic, canteen and free-play-area duties.
Monitor neighbouring blocks and playgrounds when required.
Support case management for students identified as being at risk.
Conduct investigations, obtain statements from students and prepare incident reports.
Conduct spot checks on students’ attire, hair and general appearance.
Support student discipline during school functions, activities and programmes.
Supervise and engage students with additional needs for selected cases.
Participate in student-management meetings.
Guide school staff in conducting investigations and managing student incidents.
Perform other duties supporting the development and well-being of at-risk students as assigned by the school.
At least three years of experience in an enforcement agency.
Able to provide comprehensive case-management and disciplinary support using a restorative-practice approach.
Able to speak and read English and prepare incident reports in English.
Comfortable working with young students and able to build rapport with students and other school stakeholders.
Prior experience in a primary school environment or student-management role will be advantageous.
Service-oriented, meticulous and able to meet work deadlines efficiently.
Possess basic ICT skills.
Able to perform data entry and record case incidents using Microsoft Office applications.
Able to handle sensitive student information professionally and confidentially.
