Food Lab Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers with food preparation, cooking lessons and laboratory activities.
• Assist with food orders, delivery checks and preparation of ingredients.
• Maintain food supplies, conduct stock checks and stocktakes.
• Clean and maintain food laboratories, kitchen areas, utensils and equipment.
• Ensure proper food and kitchen safety practices are observed.
• Perform general cleaning and housekeeping duties.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the School.

• Food Safety Course Level 1 (WSQ) certification is required.
• Relevant experience in a school or Nutrition & Food Science laboratory is preferred.
• Inventory or food laboratory experience is an advantage.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

1 year contract (Option to extend another year) Jan 2027 to Dec 2027

Mondays to Thursdays: 7.30am to 3.45pm, inclusive of 45mins lunch
break
Fridays: 7.30am to 3.15pm, inclusive of 45mins lunch break
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public
holidays
