Responsibilities- Provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office.
- Lead and develop tax office associates, delivering an outstanding client experience and achieving office growth objectives.
- Advance knowledge and skills to excel as a resource on tax topics and products for associates.
- Lead daily activities to ensure that all tax office associates’ work is completed on time, with attention to quality standards, priorities, and overall goals.
- Build an engaging team environment by training and coaching associates to meet Service Standards and recognize outstanding contributions.
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
- Create associate work schedules and ensure accurate timekeeping and overtime management.
- Prepare tax returns, as required (where permitted).
- Conduct timely performance reviews and partner with the Associate Relations Center to address performance concerns.
- Multi-unit people management experience in the retail, restaurant, banking, or related industry.
- 2+ years as a Tax Professional.
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course* (if preparing tax returns).
- Annual completion of continuing education and ability to meet all IRS and applicable state requirements.
- Computer proficient with the ability to use MS Office.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Passionate, determined, and resilient with a customer-centric mindset.
- Able to work a flexible work schedule and adapt to changes in business needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent or higher.
