As a resident partner and advocate, you'll guide residents on their path to recovery, ensuring their quality of life, range of motion, and overall safety. Responsibilities
  • Evaluate physician's referrals and residents' medical records to shape dynamic Physical Therapy programs.
  • Engage with residents using innovative evaluation techniques to create personalized treatment plans.
  • Administer prescribed Physical Therapy programs, employing diverse therapeutic modalities for optimal function and disability prevention.
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, and Nursing to coordinate services.
  • Maintain precise documentation, continually reassessing and refining treatment programs as needed.
  • Communicate the philosophy and goals of Physical Therapy to residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Supervise and inspire Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring optimal productivity.
  • Develop the skills of physical therapy staff through in-service training programs.
  • Adhere to the facility's mission, vision, and policies while prioritizing resident care.
  • Leverage technology to enhance client care through innovative documentation.
  • Safeguard healthcare organization value by maintaining confidentiality and preventing breaches.
  • Stay at the forefront of Physical Therapy practices through workshops, publications, and networking.
  • Contribute to the success of Physical Therapy and the healthcare organization by supporting team members and welcoming diverse requests.
  • Embrace a multitude of duties with enthusiasm to create a transformative impact.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy school with a valid state license.
  • Preferably one year of experience in acute care, long-term care, or rehabilitation.
  • Proficient in teaching and actively seeking ways to assist and engage others.
  • Strong ability to communicate and adapt to various residents and personalities.
  • Demonstrates full attention, understanding, and effective communication skills.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, excelling in multitasking, prioritization, and meeting deadlines.
  • Possesses excellent observation, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and basic math skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Proficient use of computers and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • The responsibilities are often physically demanding; therapists must be in good physical condition.
  • Engage in visually acuity activities such as data analysis and computer operation.
  • Frequent communication with residents, staff, management, and clients in a professional manner.
  • Navigate physical demands including walking, standing, balancing, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Perform max assist resident transfers (75% employee, 25% resident) and position residents, supplies, and equipment.
  • Demonstrate sufficient visual acuity and hearing for required therapy skills.
  • Occasionally exert up to 100 pounds of force and frequently up to 50 pounds, with constant exertion up to 20 pounds to move objects.

Work schedules vary at each location. You may be scheduled to work at any other location.
