Due to continued growth our sector leading client are looking for a Quality & Compliance Manager to ensure the manufacturing site complies with all relevant regulatory, safety, environmental, and quality standards. The successful candidate will lead audits, maintain certifications, and drive continuous improvement in compliance processes.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory & Standards Compliance
- Ensure compliance with manufacturing regulations including:
- ISO Quality Management)
- ISO Environmental Management)
- ISOOccupational Health & Safety)
- UK/EU product safety and environmental legislation
- Maintain and update compliance documentation and registers.
Audit & Inspection Management
- Lead internal and external audits.
- Prepare audit schedules, reports, and corrective action plans.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and certification agencies.
- Develop and implement site-wide compliance policies – integration of South Brent site into existing IMS for Nottingham site.
- Ensure SOPs and work instructions reflect current regulations.
- Monitor changes in legislation and update procedures accordingly.
Training & Awareness
- Deliver compliance training to staff and contractors.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility.
Risk & Incident Management
- Investigate compliance breaches and near misses.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement preventive actions.
- Support risk assessments and hazard identification.
Ideal candidates will have :
- Proven experience in compliance or quality management within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards and UK/EU regulations.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to lead audits and manage cross-functional teams.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Lead Auditor, NEBOSH, IEMA).
Desirable Experience
- Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and compliance software
