Cleaner – Part‑Time

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Cleaner, working 20 hours per week from 9am to 1pm Monday to Friday. The salary is £13,542.99 per annum.

• Clean designated areas of student accommodation including bedrooms, bathrooms, shower rooms, kitchens and all white goods in the kitchens.
• Vacuum, spot‑clean and shampoo carpets, sweep and polish floors and clean stairs.
• Wash walls, doors, furniture, radiators, lampshades as appropriate.
• Empty waste bins and remove rubbish from flats to bin store areas.
• During the summer season only: make beds (strip and change sheeting), collect laundered linen from store, bag and pack laundry for collection.
• Clean internal and external windows, where applicable.
• Clean and wash glasses, cutlery and cooking utensils as appropriate.
• Daily liaison with residents, Residence Managers and associated UPP staff.
• Act in accordance with all Health & Safety policies and practices at all times.

• Previous cleaning experience in a similar environment.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with attention to detail.
• Good conversational standard of the English language.
• Ability to read and interpret Health & Safety guidance.
• Willingness to work (with notice) at other sites if required and to take additional hours during main student arrival and departure weekends.
• Applicants will be required to undergo satisfactory vetting, including employment referencing for the past three years, and possibly additional vetting and barring checks (e.g., basic DBS).
