- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, small businesses, non‑profits, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and estates.
- Performs technical tax review and approval of all tax returns.
- Prepare tax projections, analyses, and supporting schedules for internal leadership
- Assumes responsibility for preparing complex tax returns and delegates to the various tax preparers as necessary.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge and proficiency in advanced technical and research skills necessary for advising clients.
- Performs all task related to client service within budgeted time.
- Participates actively in client meetings and tax planning efforts to assist the A&A department with larger clients.
- Acts as a resource for tax preparers/specialists and A&A staff on specific tax issues and/or questions.
- Assumes client service responsibility for clients the tax manager works directly with or clients where the responsibility is delegated from the partner.
- Communicates to the appropriate firm personnel important tax and tax developments affecting the firms' clients.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 3+ years experience working at at CPA firm.
- Exposure to working with credit unions is a plus.
- At least five to seven years experience in public accounting, demonstrating a proven progression in tax complexity, scope, and research.
- Understanding and experience with form 990 preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software preferably Pro Systems CCH and Microsoft Excel.
- CPA strongly preferred or in the process of obtaining.
