• Perform phlebotomy on patients of all ages.
• Prepare specimens for analysis.
• Assist in coordination of couriers and routes, including follow-ups on service delays.
• Triage all lab samples and requests after verification of appropriate information.
• Enter and verify patient and test info into computer.
• Generate computer labels for specimens and deliver to appropriate areas.
• Prepare samples for transport to referral labs or storage.
• Document draws, added tests, and cancelled/rejected specimens.
• Provide coverage as necessary to other draw stations.

• High school diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED or HiSET).
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience performing phlebotomy in a high-volume testing laboratory (post receiving CPT certificate).
• Ability to work at other draw stations as needed (e.g., Panorama City, Torrance, Burbank, Encino, Calabasas, Westlake Village, Woodland Hills, Porter Ranch, Thousand Oaks, and Century City).
• Availability to work weekends, holidays and other shifts as needed.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Skill in performing related computer procedures (LIS, HIS).
• Knowledgeable in quality assurance practices, preferred.
