Job Summary: Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) for a 13‑week travel assignment in Burbank, California. As a key member of the IR team, you will prepare patients, operate advanced imaging equipment, support physicians during minimally invasive procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort in a fast‑paced environment.

Required Qualifications
  • At least one year of recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
  • Valid ARRT certification or RCIS/RCES certification in compliance with state regulations
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA/ARC)
  • Valid state Radiologic Technologist license
  • PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification
  • Additional certifications or licenses may be required for this position
Essential Work Functions
  • Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
  • Operate imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound, to guide procedures
  • Assist physicians by scrubbing in for sterile procedures, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field
  • Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details
  • Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions
  • Ensure proper radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self
  • Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring readiness for procedures
  • Manage and restock procedural supplies, including catheters, guide wires, and contrast agents
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members to provide seamless patient care
  • Follow all infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols
  • Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support IR lab operations
  • Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
Required Essential Skills
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Proficiency in following written and verbal instructions and basic PC skills
  • Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
  • Professional demeanor and effective teamwork across diverse personnel
  • Capability to perform fine motor tasks during procedures and when operating equipment
  • Ability to manage high‑stress situations, irregular schedules, and continuous concentration on detail
  • Adequate visual acuity and effective communication skills
