Immediate Opening: Sterile Processing Technician – Full Time (Evening)

Location: Providence St. Joseph Medical Center, 501 S Buena Vista St, Burbank, CA

About the Position: Sterile Processing Technician at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA. This position is Full‑Time and will work 8‑hour evening shifts. The role requires operating steam (autoclave), H2O2 sterilizers, sonic equipment, automated washers and heat sealers, and is responsible for decontaminating, operationally checking, assembling, sterilizing, and distributing reusable surgical/clinical instrumentation and implants throughout the hospital.

• Decontaminate, operationally check, assemble, sterilize, and distribute reusable surgical/clinical instrumentation and implants.
• Operate steam (autoclave) and H2O2 sterilizers, sonic equipment, automated washers, and heat sealers.
• Store, date, rotate, and distribute reusable surgical/clinical instrumentation.
• Maintain inventory and ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• Within 1 year of hire:
  National Certified Registered Central Service Technician – Healthcare Sterile Processing Association or National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician – Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution.
• 1 year of experience, or graduate from a central service program.

Pay Range: $24.28 – $36.15 per hour. Base pay determined by experience; additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
