Job Description
Supervisor Clinical Laboratory at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center, Burbank, CA. Full‑time evening shifts.
Providence St. Joseph Medical Center is a Magnet® recognized facility, part of Providence Health System.
Pathology Supervisor responsible for daily operations, personnel management, technical expertise of the Anatomic laboratory section. Provides technical oversight, ensures accurate, timely, cost effective service to all laboratory customers. Responsible for regulatory requirements (CLIA 88, CAP, Joint Commission).
ResponsibilitiesDaily operations of Anatomic laboratory section.
Personnel management and technical expertise.
Technical oversight and accurate, timely, cost effective service.
Regulatory compliance (CLIA 88, CAP, Joint Commission).
Required Qualifications- Completion of education and training as a Histologist (HT-ASCP) or Cytologist (CT-ASCP).
- National Certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology upon hire.
- California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License California upon hire.
- California Clinical Chemist Scientist License upon hire.
- California Clinical Immunohematologist Scientist License upon hire.
- California Clinical Microbiologist Scientist License upon hire.
- California Clinical Toxicologist Scientist License upon hire.
- California Clinical Cytogeneticist Scientist License upon hire.
- California Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist License upon hire.
- California Clinical Hematology Scientist License upon hire.
- California Clinical Histocompatibility Scientist License upon hire.
- California Clinical Laboratory Scientist Biochemistry Special License upon hire.
- California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I License upon hire.
- California Certified Phlebotomy Technician II License upon hire.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 5 years of work experience in pathology.
- Previous supervisory experience.
