Job Summary

You will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the beverage program. This role requires strong leadership skills, exceptional knowledge of mixology and beverages, and a keen understanding of the upscale dining experience. The Beverage Director will collaborate with the culinary team to create a harmonious pairing of food and beverage offerings.

Extensive front of house knowledge that displays high functioning leadership, labor management, cost control and conflict resolution is essential for the success of this leadership position.

Pay: $80000 - $90000 / year

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive beverage program, including spirits, wine, beer, and non‑alcoholic beverages.
  • Curate a diverse and high‑quality beverage selection that complements the upscale dining experience.
  • Maintain and update the beverage menu regularly, considering market trends, guests’ preferences, and seasonal offerings.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and organizing beverage supplies.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient cost control measures are in place to optimize profitability.
  • Train and educate the staff on beverage knowledge, service techniques, and proper pouring and presentation.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance product knowledge, upselling skills, and adherence to service standards.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development among the beverage team.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with beverage suppliers and distributors.
  • Negotiate favorable pricing, promotional deals, and exclusive offerings.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new product releases, and emerging brands.
  • Ensure the consistent delivery of exceptional beverage service and quality.
  • Monitor guest feedback and reviews related to the beverage program, addressing any concerns promptly and effectively.
