LAMP Tech Lead

The selected candidate for the role will handle the following responsibilities for the company:

Works with internal development team or external vendor to implement technical solutions as defined with Project Manager / Senior Manager / UX Team, translating technical requirements from customers to other teams and vendors.

Performs code reviews for security, performance, and best practices.

Responsible for maintaining performance, load testing, and other standards for internal and externally developed projects.

Occasional hands-on development.

Heavily involved in decisions and evaluation of plugins, libraries, and tools, making decisions on what technologies to use for projects.

Works with Project Managers to negotiate timelines, identify development risks, and align internal expectations, determining best practices for software development, security questions for sites, system availability, and functionality.

Responsible for developing, enacting, and enforcing documentation, process, and performance standards.

Major Technical Expertise

Required:

• Network Architecture (Load balancers, scalability, load testing, redundancy, etc.)
• Word Press configuration, support, and development
• Caching tools (Memcache, Redis, Varnish, Squid, etc.)
• MySQL
• PHP
• Backend integrations
• Git, Git Hub, and Git Lab

Moderate Technical Experience

Required:

• Configuration Management tools (Chef, Puppet, etc.)
• Linux command line

Preferred Technical

Experience:

• Gulp and Grunt
• Jenkins
• Galera
• SAML Single Sign-On
• AWS

• Extremely comfortable working with non-technical and technical people
• Experience managing outside vendors
• Experience in an enterprise environment
