IV Specialist - Registered Nurse

VIC the PICC ("VTP") is a specialized healthcare provider focused on vascular access consulting services to acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and home healthcare. We provide vascular access device insertion services, post access support services including declotting, line removal, port access and venous access troubleshooting. Job Position

IV Specialist (PRN) This role works collaboratively with our customers’ clinical teams to resolve IV placement issues to facilitate treatment objectives. You may work inside or outside the hospital setting, depending on each referral, providing a unique career opportunity to observe different treatment protocols and patient challenges. Note: This is a PRN posting with a requirement of 10 minimum cases per month.

• Place peripheral IVs
• Perform declotting of PICCs and CVCs
• Troubleshoot vascular access devices
• Provide PICC/Midline care
• Provide a wide range of infusion therapies for patients
• Troubleshoot IV pumps
• Educate nursing staff regarding care and use of PICC lines and IV access devices

In this role, you will potentially visit patients in different customer facilities. You must be willing to travel to customer facilities and able to fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated based on business needs. Per Diem scheduling requirements include a minimum of 10 cases per month, including weekends, and participation in the holiday rotation.

• Registered Nurse with current license
• Current CPR Certification
• American Heart BLS Certification
• Must currently be placing PIV lines (multiple times a day)
• Ability to work independently and fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated by job classification
• Valid driver s license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation for travel to patient sites
• Must possess a smart phone
• Must LOVE Vascular Access

• Minimum of 3 years  experience in acute care
• Ultrasound guided PIV experience

Compensation is based on candidate experience and relevant certifications. Hourly Pay Range $50—$60 USD
