American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift position requiring neuro experience, CA RN license, and prior travel experience.
Details- Acute care hospital setting with 392 staffed beds
- ICU unit with 1:2 patient ratios
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
- Every other weekend required (4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule)
- Floating required between like units as needed
- No on-call responsibilities
- Meditech charting system used
- Any scrub color permitted
- Active CA RN license required (compact license must be in hand at submission)
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
- Prior neuro ICU experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Skills in ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, and cardiac drip titration
- Experience with CVA/acute stroke management and post neurosurgery care preferred
- Experience with ECMO, IABP, and TAVR preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Provide direct patient care in ICU setting including hemodynamic monitoring and management of complex, critically ill patients
- May float between sister facilities within the same health system as needed
- Must reside within 50 miles for local candidate consideration at adjusted bill rate
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius
- RTO must be submitted at time of application; flexibility with scheduling is expected
- Must be willing to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
