American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an ICU position requiring CA RN licensure, ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certification, and neuro ICU experience.

• Work in the ICU of a 392-bed acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Every other weekend required (4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule)
• Floating required between like units and sister facilities as needed to meet facility needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Meditech charting system used

• Active CA RN license required (compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU experience required
• Neuro ICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required or strong relevant experience considered
• Skills needed include IV therapy, central line care, arterial line management, ventilator management, and interpretation of ABGs
• Experience with neurological care including CVA/stroke management, EVD, ICP monitoring, and post-neurosurgery care preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for submission

• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients including those with complex cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, and multisystem conditions
• Scrubs of any color permitted
• Free parking available on-site
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within the 50-mile radius
• RTO must be submitted at time of application and minimal time off requests are preferred
• Must be willing to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Facility does not accept candidates with Nursys or background check hits
• Candidates may only be submitted to one Providence facility at a time
