JFS Specialty Services, Inc. is seeking an HVAC / Mechanical Services Lead to help coordinate and deliver high-quality mechanical services at our onsite location in Burbank, CA.
Position SummaryThe HVAC / Mechanical Services Lead will oversee day-to-day mechanical service work, ensuring installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance are completed accurately, safely, and on schedule. This role blends hands‑on technical leadership with clear coordination of team activities and customer‑focused service delivery.
You will serve as a go‑to resource for troubleshooting and job execution, helping drive consistency in workmanship and adherence to established procedures and safety standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and participate in HVAC and mechanical service activities, including troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance.
Coordinate service tasks and workflow to ensure jobs are completed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with job requirements.
Train and support team members by providing guidance on diagnostics, installation practices, and service standards.
Maintain a strong focus on safety by following required procedures, jobsite practices, and safe work habits.
Communicate job status, findings, and recommendations professionally with internal stakeholders and customers as needed.
Hands‑on experience performing HVAC and/or mechanical service work, including diagnostics and repairs.
Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems and common mechanical components and how they operate.
Ability to read and interpret technical information relevant to troubleshooting and service work.
Demonstrated commitment to safety practices and the ability to work effectively in onsite job environments.
Ability to take ownership of job execution while supporting teammates and maintaining quality standards.
Prior lead or supervisory experience in an HVAC or mechanical services setting.
Experience with preventive maintenance programs and ensuring work is documented and completed to standard.
Familiarity with common service procedures for HVAC equipment and mechanical systems.
Strong customer service skills and the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
Track record of mentoring technicians and contributing to team performance.
Hourly rate: $33.00
