Job Summary

The culturally Relevant Program Facilitator is responsible for delivering inclusive, community-focused education and workforce training to program participants. In this role, you will use your bilingual Spanish/English skills to teach and support English Language Learners (ELL) and help them develop essential job skills. You will facilitate workshops, provide one‑on‑one coaching in soft skills and career readiness, assist participants with apprenticeship and job applications, and lead a fentanyl awareness educational program.

This position plays a key role in advancing workforce development initiatives and empowering participants through culturally responsive teaching and guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Workshops & ELL Instruction: Plan and lead engaging, culturally relevant workshops and classes for program participants, including teaching sessions for English Language Learners (ELL) to improve their English proficiency and communication skills.
  • Individual Coaching & Soft Skills Training: Meet with participants one‑on‑one or in small groups to provide essential skills training and soft skills development. This includes coaching in resume building, job application techniques, workplace communication, and conducting mock interviews to prepare participants for real‑world job interviews.
  • Pre‑Apprenticeship/Internship Application Support: Assist participants in researching and applying for pre‑apprenticeship, apprenticeship, and internship opportunities. Guide individuals through application requirements, help them complete forms, prepare supporting documents, and track Final date to receive applicationss to increase their chances of success.
  • Workforce Development Program Support: Contribute to broader workforce development initiatives and program goals. Collaborate with team members to develop and refine program curriculum, organize career‑readiness events (such as job fairs or employer info sessions), and support participant recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Fentanyl Education Program Leadership: Lead a fentanyl awareness educational program as part of our community health outreach. Develop or utilize existing curriculum to educate participants about the dangers of fentanyl and other opioids, deliver informative workshops on prevention and safety, and coordinate with health professionals or partners as needed to provide up‑to‑date information and resources.
  • Participant Progress Tracking: Maintain accurate records of participant attendance, progress, and outcomes. Prepare reports on workshop participation, skill improvements, and placement results as required, ensuring data is kept confidential. Use this information to help evaluate program effectiveness and inform improvements.
  • Community and Cultural Liaison: Serve as a culturally responsive liaison for Spanish‑speaking participants and their families. Build trust within the community by respecting cultural nuances, providing translations or language support when necessary, and connecting participants to relevant community resources (such as FAFSA/WASFA guidance, if applicable, or other social services).
