American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring telemetry and dialysis patient experience.

• MS/Tele Float Pool unit within an acute care hospital setting, 34 beds
• Patient ratio of 1:6 with diagnoses including heart dysrhythmias, GI issues, dialysis needs, and general medical conditions
• Primary assignment to one facility with floating required throughout the region to other hospitals within the same health system
• Additional pay differential offered when floated to a non-primary facility within the region
• Few titratable drips, including low-dose dopamine
• Telemetry monitoring handled by a centralized regional team, so RNs are not required to read strips
• Charge nurse and nurse aides present on the unit, with aide ratios of 10-12 patients
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts (7p-7a), with every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required
• No call or standby requirements
• Centralized scheduling model
• EPIC EMR used
• 1-2 days of unit-specific orientation provided

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience with dialysis patients and telemetry/cardiac skills required
• PCU/ICU experience preferred
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

• Provide direct patient care to med/surg and telemetry patients, floating to other units as needed
• All RNs on this unit are expected to float to other telemetry units
• Any professional colored scrubs permitted
• First-time travelers may be considered for this role
