• The High School Pre‑Calculus Teacher position is responsible for educating high school students in advanced mathematics, specifically Pre‑Calculus.
• The role emphasizes the development of essential mathematical concepts and problem‑solving skills, while also fostering critical thinking and analytical abilities among students.
• The teacher will create/execute pre‑determined lesson plans, assess student performance, and collaborate with faculty to enhance the educational experience.
• All Chesterton Academy teachers are employed at-will and operate as professionals within the guidelines established by the Board of Directors, Mission, Vision, and Philosophy of Chesterton Academy of Wichita Falls.

• Develop and implement effective lessons embodying classical teaching principles
• Build appropriate relationships with the students that develops a passion for learning and a love for God and others
• Assist students in improving skills and study habits
• Effectively assess the academic, moral, and spiritual growth of the students
• Be sensitive to academic and behavioral concerns as they are developing and intervene immediately
• Provide extra tutoring for any student struggling with a subject or skill
• Demonstrate effective classroom management skills
• Compile and maintain all reports and documents required for student records
• Communicate frequently with students and their parents
• Create a welcoming, nurturing, and age‑appropriate classroom environment
• Diligently enforce all school policies
• Effectively supervise students during non‑academic periods such as lunch, chapel, or study halls

• Practicing Roman Catholic and demonstrate a commitment to Catholic secondary education (Preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field (Master's preferred).
• 2+ years teaching experience in a classical school environment (Preferred)
• Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
• Resilient and adaptable and possess strong time management and organizational skills
• Committed to the mission of Chesterton Schools Network and the teachings of the Catholic church.
• A love for his/her subject matter and students
• An understanding of and adherence to Chesterton Academy's mission, philosophy of education, and organizational culture
• Effective interpersonal skills including the ability to interface with students, parents, colleagues and administrators with grace, sensitivity, and flexibility
• The ability to collaborate successfully with faculty, staff and the school board
