Athletic Trainer will work offsite 100% of the time assisting schools

The role you'll contribute:

The Certified Athletic Trainer Outreach is a healthcare professional specializing in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of injuries and illnesses. Provides quality evidence-based athletic health services, as well as develops and implements comprehensive health care programs. Builds and maintains strategic relationships between physicians, their office staff, Hospital administration, athletic trainers, athletic directors, athletes and their parents. Fulfills the staff and medical requirement of contracts or partnership agreements for assigned areas/events.

Emphasizes off-site areas and independent assessment and moves to action. Promotes and markets the existing Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation product lines to physicians and the community. Identifies and resolves issues timely that affect our medical staff and the effective delivery of health care. Utilizes process improvement in achieving the goals of the Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine Department. May supervise other Certified Athletic Trainers, Athletic Training students, volunteers and interns.

Is available as needed, outside of normal working hours, as required by athletic teams and athletes to treat and support within the scope of practice. Adheres to the Advent Health Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies, and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Abides by federal, state, and local regulations for medication storage, transportation, dispensing, and documentation.

Collaborates with contract leadership to define and execute policies and procedures.

Participates in program and process changes as part of performance improvement activities.

Acts as a liaison between stakeholders to resolve service or operational issues.

Markets departmental programs within the hospital and community.

Evaluates patient behavior, motor skills, and physiological norms based on age, and modifies approaches accordingly.

Educates patients, caregivers, and athletic training students as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Performs clinical evaluations and diagnoses, and performs emergency care for injuries and illnesses.

Designs and implements comprehensive rehabilitation and therapeutic intervention programs.

Provides athletic training services for assigned events.

Maintains medical records in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:

Bachelors Degree

Athletic Trainer Certified (ATC)

Cadio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
