Job Description
Job Summary
Position reports to Paint & Assembly Supervisor and is subordinate to the team leader. Areas of responsibility include assembling products, installing power transmission and pneumatic components as instructed by Team Leader.
Job Duties
- Perform final assembly of H&S products.
- Follow instructions of Team Leader.
- Work with Team Leader and Team Members to meet job requirements, quality standards and schedule dates.
- Ensure that sub-assemblies are installed properly.
- Identify and/or confirm defective items and report them to the Team Leader for disposition.
- Follow all quality procedures and standards.
- Ensure proper torque on all assembly fasteners.
- Maintain accurate time sheet.
- Maintain organization in team’s work areas.
- Follow Supervisor’s and Team Leader’s instructions for staging between paint, assembly, & finished goods warehouse.
- Ensure organized storage of tools, and supplies. Keep area clear of clutter and other hazards.
- Monitor levels of shop supplies and stock items. Report low levels to Team Leader allowing adequate time to replenish.
- Notify Team Leader of maintenance needs for equipment.
- Comply with H&S Environmental, Health and Safety Programs.
- Read, comprehend, and comply with H&S Safety Manual and Employee Handbook.
- Other activities as directed by Paint & Assembly Supervisor.
- This includes short notice of overtime needs, or cross-training/working within different areas of department.
Qualifications
- Ability to give, receive and understand oral and written instructions in English.
- Ability to complete training and operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and pneumatic & electric power tools in a safe manner.
- Have basic math skills and the ability to use basic measuring devices.
- Stable employment and attendance history.

- Assist with assembly of all sub-components with best effort to meet target dates established with minimal mistakes.
- Perform work activities in a manner that produces the highest possible quality for the finished product in the most efficient way.
- Meet and exceed company policies regarding safety, quality and environmental compliance.
- To continue to develop skills and knowledge increasing employees value to the company.
