Registered Nurse RN – Emergency Department – PRN, Days – TH Burleson
Fast‑paced, high‑volume ED department is looking for top‑skilled nurses.
Work location: Texas Health Burleson, 2750 Southwest Wilshire Blvd, Burleson, TX 76028
Work hours: PRN II/per diem, Day shift (covering 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. shift), Minimum requirement: 3 shifts per 6‑week schedule;
Weekend requirement: 1 shift per 6‑week schedule;
Holiday requirement: 1 major/1 minor.
- 10‑bed emergency department
- Located about 15 miles south of downtown Ft. Worth
- Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week
- Full‑service ED with highly qualified nursing staff
- Providing care for a wide variety of patients from neonate, pediatric and seniors covering an array of illnesses and injuries

Here’s What You Need- Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
- CLIAFE: must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency® requirements
- BCLS – must be obtained prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
- ACLS – required within 90 days of hire
- PALS – required within 90 days of hire or ENPC – within 12 months of hire
- NIHSS – required within 90 days of hire
- TNCC or ATCN – required within 12 months of hire
- CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – required within 90 days of hire
- 1‑year registered nursing experience required
- Current ED experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast‑paced environment.
- Maintain a positive, customer‑focused attitude toward patients
- Possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
- Have basic computer skills using medical management application systems
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
- Assess the patient
- Plan the care of the patient
- Intervene as appropriate
- Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporate age‑specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiate action to meet patient and/or significant others’ need for information
- Maintain continuity of patient care inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and while expediting out‑of‑hospital transfers
