Job Description:

Other duties as assigned. Assists with preceptor training, policy development, and budget planning. Collaborates with nursing units' professional governance councils to identify needs and guide projects. Guides and mentors nursing staff. Facilitates and coordinates continuing education opportunities for nursing employees. Identifies nursing education needs through formal and informal assessments. Ensures appropriate education is offered based on needs assessment data. Collaborates with other department educators to develop educational programs.

Utilizes principles of adult learning in program design. Teaches classes within the level of expertise. Functions as a Nurse Planner for the CNE Provider Unit. Adheres to accrediting body criteria in all CNE educational activities. Identifies needs for online education, designs presentations, writes test questions, and manages online learning modules.
