About the RoleMcCain Foods is now accepting applications for a Packaging Line Operator to work a 12-hour night shift in our Burley, Idaho plant. The Packaging Line Operator is responsible for ensuring that quality products are packaged efficiently while meeting quality specifications for the packaging of products. The Packaging Line Operator is also responsible for the efficient use of packaging supplies and equipment.
WhatYou’ll Be Doing
- High school diploma or GED and 1–3 months related experience; preferred one‑year certificate.
- Lead, direct and train line personnel while developing a team effort.
- Insure production standards are met.
- Set up, operate and adjust packaging line and case sealing equipment when required.
- Disassemble and reassemble machinery for sanitation and change‑over purposes.
- Perform preventative and minor maintenance on packaging and sealing equipment.
- Confirm quality of product before packaging.
- Monitor and maintain product line flow to ensure consistent temperature and packaging of product.
- Request supplies as needed for delivery by forklift operators.
- Ensure employees are furnished with correct packaging supplies as needed.
- Prior experience as a Packaging Operator in a manufacturing facility is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- Hourly rate: $21.16 – 23.52
- $1.50 shift differential for graveyard positions.
- Set schedule for entire calendar year.
