• Shift: 3 x 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), every other weekend required
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,580 - $2,760
• Patient Population:
  Neonates, Infants, Adolescents, Adults
• Unit Size: 30 beds, average daily census of 10

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active California RN license (required at time of submission)
• BLS (AHA) certification
• ACLS certification
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
• NRP certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Community hospital and Level I Trauma experience required
• Ability to complete lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• All certifications must be AHA and current at time of submission

L&D RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient care in the Labor & Delivery unit, adhering to clinical protocols and best practices
• Collaborate with obstetricians, surgical scrub techs, and nursing staff in the LDRP environment
• Perform patient assessments, continuous monitoring, and clear communication with patients and families
• Assist with high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and postpartum care
• Administer medications and therapies, including magnesium sulfate and Pitocin
• Operate fetal monitoring equipment (EFM, IUPC, internal/external monitoring)
• Mentor and educate nursing students as needed
• Document all care activities using the Epic electronic health record system
• Maintain compliance with privacy, safety, and regulatory standards
