Meta is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Embedded Software / Firmware Engineering Manager to join our team. As an engineering manager, you will support, enable, and empower your team, managing high-performing engineers to make a meaningful impact on billions of people around the world. Embedded Software Engineering Managers are clearly characterized by progressive technical experience in embedded systems and demonstrated progression in management responsibility.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of embedded software engineers to deliver high-quality products and solutions for hardware platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, firmware, product) to drive technical innovation in embedded systems
- Develop and implement technical strategies to achieve business objectives within the constraints of embedded environments
- Foster an environment of continuous learning, growth, and improvement in embedded software development practices
- 8+ years of embedded software engineering experience, or PhD + 4 years, including hands-on technical management
- Demonstrated experience recruiting, building, structuring, and leading technical organizations focused on embedded systems, including performance management
- Bachelor of Science or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in embedded systems
- Experience supporting, coaching, mentoring, and developing embedded software engineers
- 2+ years of experience managing a team of engineers with varied skill levels in embedded software development
- Developing embedded ML / AI inference pipelines
- Building low-power + highly resource constrained products (Wearables, Mobile, Robotics)

Base pay range: $177,000/year to $251,000/year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
