Responsibilities:

Assist with the month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Develop and maintain general ledger account reconciliations while ensuring proper documentation.

Prepare and post journal entries and perform general ledger maintenance tasks.

Examine revenue, margin, and expenditures to guarantee accuracy and completeness.

Ensure the precision of financial information in SAP and address any discrepancies.

Seek out SAP-driven opportunities for automation and process improvement.

Participate in the creation and review of forecasts and budgets.

Handle fixed asset accounting, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions.

Assist with tax filings, including GST/HST, income tax, and payroll remittances.

Produce timely operating statements, management reports, and account reconciliations on schedule.

Maintain compliance with internal controls and automate processes wherever possible.

Conduct monthly variance analysis, investigate discrepancies, and suggest process improvements.

Generate inventory reports and calculate inventory provision in accordance with company policy.

Spearhead the development of annual audit working papers.

Provide support for customer accounts and collection activities.

Qualifications:

3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience

Strong knowledge of local Canadian accounting standards and tax experience.

Strong hands-on experience with SAP

Manufacturing with inventory experience is ideal
