We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day financial operations of a growing organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to keep financial records accurate, organized, and compliant, while also contributing to process improvements over time. You will work closely with leadership and external accounting partners to ensure smooth financial operations and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Daily / Monthly Accounting
Record all financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
, accurately in the accounting systemMaintain the general ledger
, ensuring entries are complete and correctProcess vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursementsSupport EHT and HST reporting and assist with remittance preparationPerform bank and credit card reconciliationsPrepare monthly financial statement working papers for leadership reviewAssist with payroll processing and tracking of related remittancesReconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable subledgersTrack and record fixed assets, expenses, and prepaids using Excel and asset/property tracking softwareQuarterly / Annual Support
Prepare financial reporting packages for managementAssist external accountants with year-end close and tax preparationMaintain organized financial records to support audit and compliance requirementsGeneral & Administrative
Maintain a well-organized digital filing system for financial documentationCommunicate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders regarding billing and paymentsContribute to improving bookkeeping processes and internal controls over timeSkills & Qualifications
Required
Proven experience in bookkeeping or financial record-keepingProficiency with accounting software (such as Quick Books Online or similar platforms)Strong Excel skills
, including formulas and pivot tablesExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently
