Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client, a reputable packaged goods company, is actively seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in accounts payables and invoice processing, ideally from a manufacturing/packaged goods environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Receive, verify, and process invoices and purchase orders.
Accurate data entry with proper coding and allocation.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor files.
Collaborate with various departments regarding payable items.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all entries, and proper reconciliations.
Implement process improvements and automations to streamline AP processing.
Support other members of the accounting/finance team with ad-hoc tasks.
Qualifications and

Experience:

4+ years of experience in accounts payable.

Experience with AP in a manufacturing/packaged goods environment preferred, but not required.
Degree or diploma in a related field.
Forward thinking and tech-savvy, with an interest in driving process improvements and automations in the department.
Intermediate Excel skills.
High level of organization and detail orientation.
Collaborative attitude and a willingness to support others.
