ASO Billing Operations Manager

Lead ASO billing operations in a hybrid Waterloo role, overseeing financial accuracy, reconciliations, and complex client transactions. Guide billing professionals through operational excellence.

At Manulife, this manager leads self-funded benefit plan billing administration and financial controls. The work spans bill runs, invoicing, funding arrangements, suspense accounts, and financial exceptions. You will partner with Finance, Risk Management, and Control functions while supporting audits, implementations, and strategic initiatives.

• Oversee monthly bill runs and benefit claim cost invoicing
• Reconcile client accounts, funding arrangements, and financial activity
• Manage complex transactions, escalations, and aged financial exceptions
• Monitor KPIs, SLAs, operational metrics, and suspense accounts
• Coach billing professionals and provide ongoing performance feedback

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business or quantitative discipline
• Three to five years of progressive leadership experience
• Experience in financial operations, billing, accounting, or insurance operations
• Understanding of controls, reconciliations, risk management, and governance
• Strong analytical, decision-making, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
