Our client in Burlington is on the lookout for a driven, communicative, and detail-oriented Payroll and Accounting Administrator who is ready to grow with their team. If you thrive in a collaborative environment, possess an analytical mindset, and take a proactive approach to your work, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! In this role, you will be the primary individual processing bi-weekly payroll while supporting accounts payable operations.

Working closely with the Accounting Admin Manager, supervisors, and internal teams, you will act as the final check ensuring data accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and supporting smooth day-to-day accounting functions.

What our client has to offer:
  • Competitive salary
  • 100% employer-covered standard group health and dental benefits
  • RRSP matching program
  • Vacation starting at 2 weeks
  • On-the-job training and genuine opportunities for long-term professional development and advancement
Responsibilities:
  • Run and submit bi-weekly payroll for approximately 200 hourly and 35 salaried employees.
  • Perform accounts payable (AP) tasks and duties within the accounting and administration team.
  • Facilitate employee onboarding setup in the systems.
  • Review timesheets and absentee logs, proactively communicating with supervisors to verify hours and resolve discrepancies.
  • Balance and reconcile data between Win Team and Ceridian using Excel.
  • Serve as the final line of review to confirm hours and maintain data integrity prior to payroll submission.
  • Collaborate with internal HR, supervisors, and management to maintain seamless operations.
Qualifications:
  • 1 to 2 years of hands-on payroll experience (Ideally including AP & AR experience).
  • Familiarity or experience with Ceridian Power Pay; experience with or willingness to learn Win Team.
  • Basic proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and follow-up capabilities—questioning discrepancies rather than simply entering data.
  • High diligence and meticulous attention to detail.
