Payroll Tax Assistant Manager

Within EY’s National Tax practice, Payroll Operate provides technical services to African and global clients. This Assistant Manager role supports global outsourcing implementation, payroll governance, client queries, and service delivery. You will keep current with payroll legislation, review data, and coordinate country teams across moderately complex assignments.

• Review and resolve client payroll and governance queries
• Apply country legislation to payroll formulas and deductions
• Analyze payroll data, trends, and agreed requirements
• Coordinate offshore, Africa, and global payroll teams
• Support ISAE
  3402, billings, payments, and contractor management

• Strong payroll processing background and African payroll experience
• Seven-plus years of payroll or tax experience preferred
• Current knowledge of payroll rules and legislation
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent diploma preferred
