Civil Construction Estimator & Costing

Job Title:

Civil Construction Estimator & Costing  Responsibilities    Cost Estimation:  Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bids for civil projects, Railways Infrastructure - Determine costs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
Plan Analysis:  Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and site requirements.
Quantity Takeoff:  Perform accurate quantity surveys for materials, labor, and equipment.
Vendor Management:  Solicit, evaluate, and manage quotes from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.

Collaboration:

Work with engineers, architects, project managers, and clients to refine estimates and plans.
Reporting:  Develop and present cost reports, proposals, and budget updates.
Software Proficiency:  Utilize estimating software MS Office, ERP.
Site Visits:  Visit construction sites to gather info and monitor progress.
Cost Control:  Identify risks, find savings, and track costs against budget.
Risk & Safety:  Identify cost risks and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
Database Management:  Maintain a database of costs, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field

Experience:

Proven experience in construction estimating, project management, or related roles with minimum 4-5 years of experience

Skills:

Strong analytical, mathematical, communication, and problem-solving skills; keen attention to detail.
Knowledge:  Understanding of Railways construction processes, building codes, and estimating principles.
