Estimating Coordinators drive the procurement and closing of project opportunities that fall within our respective disciplines of construction. Estimating Coordinators will use workplace technologies such as Bid2

Win, Bluebeam, MS Project and Excel for the review of construction drawings, specifications, quantity take-offs, and scheduling. This posting is for an existing vacancy for an Estimating Coordinator in our Burlington office.

• Maintain systems and procedures in relation to estimating
• Performs general administrative and recordkeeping functions
• Contact various trades and suppliers regarding invitations, pricing, addenda, and tender/bid closings
• Produces quantity take-offs for all areas of the estimate as directed, while ensuring the take-off is well notated for hand-over to the Estimating Manager
• Assist in the development of complete estimates on selected projects consisting of a project site visit, quantity take-off, pricing
• Assists in the selection of subcontractors and suppliers

• Interfaces and communicates effectively (written and oral) with the estimating team, with all levels of management, clients, and industry contacts; contacts and develops business relationships with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing within estimates
• 1 year of heavy civil construction
• Full G license
• Completion of post‑secondary education with a diploma or degree related to Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, and Estimating
• Technical knowledge of modern construction practices, techniques, and equipment
• Experience working with Bridges, Environmental and various concrete works. Knowledge of construction costs and budgets, the ability to assist with developing a project schedule
• Strong computer background including experience with MS Office, Google Drive, Bluebeam, MS Project
• Ability to work in a team environment and willing to promote teamwork
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and to respect strict deadlines
• Ability to problem solve
• Strong organizational skills
• Working hour Weekdays 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
