Early Childhood Educators

Join our team as a Designated Early Childhood Educator for the Extended Day Program in Burlington's public schools. Your expertise in child development will be crucial in providing engaging, play-based learning for children aged 3.8 to 12 years.

We are seeking qualified RECE/DECE professionals to support before and after school programs across several Burlington locations, including Central, Lakeshore, and Tecumseh Public Schools. You will follow the Ministry of Education guidelines, ensuring compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act. This role may also involve covering full-day kindergarten activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fulfill duties for before and after school programs

• Implement pedagogical practices aligned with early learning

• Ensure compliance with relevant child care regulations

• Understand and support developmental needs of children

• Set up and maintain equipment in shared spaces

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education

• Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators

• 18 years of age or older

• Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification

• Criminal Reference and Vulnerable Sector Check
