Position Description
As part of a collaborative team, this individual will work closely with fellow engineers and designers while engaging with quality, production, and procurement functions. This is a role for someone who thrives in both the detail of design and the practicalities of fabrication, providing critical daily support that bridges engineering concepts with real-world execution.
Create and review precise engineering drawings and documentation that drive efficient, accurate fabrication.Apply strong technical judgment to mechanical design challenges, ensuring all work meets rigorous standards, industry codes, and client expectations.Utilize leading design software (3D/2D platforms) to produce models, layouts, weld maps, and bills of material.Conduct and verify design calculations while providing peer review for team deliverables.Support shop floor operations by troubleshooting and providing innovative, cost-effective solutions to design and manufacturing challenges.Collaborate closely with production and quality teams to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure successful project outcomes.Contribute ideas to improve engineering productivity, workflow, and communication across disciplines.Experience
A minimum of 5 years’ engineering experience, including direct involvement in mechanical design and manufacturing environments.
Qualifications
A degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, ideally complemented by (or on track toward) professional registration.Strong understanding of mechanical design codes, standards, and fabrication practices.Proficiency with design and drafting tools (both 3D and 2D), with demonstrated experience turning concepts into actionable deliverables.Familiarity with design calculation software and a knack for practical problem-solving.Solid command of Microsoft Office and collaborative digital platforms.Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively while managing priorities, deadlines, and responsibilities with confidence.Education
Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, ideally complemented by (or on track toward) professional registration.
