What You’ll be Doing
Responsible for successful product launch by project managing the Operations activities cross a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Manufacturing Engineers, Planners, Buyers, Production Staff, Quality, EH&S and Facilities - providing leadership and technical/project guidance for IRAD funded, customer funded NRE and or non-standard product configurationsPartner with engineering and program management to manage and understand contractual flow down requirements (internal and external)Prepare design stage gate review package and prepare cross-functional team aligned to requirements detailed as per the new product introduction company standardResponsible for presenting to various levels of cross-functional leadership in design reviews and various business meetingsDevelop operations risk registry and associated mitigation strategies/plans driving closure of actionsResponsible for providing project estimations, ETCs and adherence for Earn Value Management reporting in JIRAMaintain project schedule(s) and overall build schedule to meet integrated master schedule milestones and or customer contract deliverableResponsible for defining, project managing and tracking adherence to product targets (hours per unit, material cost, lead time, yield) by organizing, leading and or facilitating DFx toolsetsParticipate in the bid and proposal process by providing operations inputs, risks and Cap Ex requirementsLead/Participate in project scrum(s), daily production cell team meeting(s), etc.Understanding cause and effect of changes affecting program schedule, quality and costResponsible for leading a department strategic goal alignment projectCoach junior team members on project management/manufacturing best practices, methodologies and lessons learnedCompliance with the companies Quality Management SystemDemonstrate through project leadership behaviours of integrity, respect and excellenceEducation and Experience s We Seek
University degree in Engineering or college diploma in Engineering TechnologyMinimum 7-10 years of experience in a project management capacity managing several complex projects concurrentlyPMP Certification is an assetP.Eng license is an assetExperience presenting to executive and or senior leadershipMust have a well-rounded project management background with experience in a high tech environmentIntimate knowledge of current and advanced Manufacturing processes and technologiesIt Would Be Great if You Also Had
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office including MS ProjectStrong technical communication skills, both written and verbalExcellent organizational and planning/project management skillsKnowledge of MRP system(s)Knowledge/experience of Confluence/JIRAKnowledge of operations and manufacturing environmentsAbility to lead the closure of technical issuesDynamic, resourceful and takes initiative (sense of urgency, innovative, problem solver)Ability to challenge the status quo and develop innovative solutions to achieve operational efficienciesData driven decision making approachExcellent functional skills of Project Management toolsKnowledge of AS9100 Quality Standard* This posting is for a current vacancy.
